Fort William is an excellent base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.
It is the start of the scenic Road to the Isles which leads through Bonnie Prince Charlie country to the beautiful Island of Skye.

Loch Shiel

Lochaber is perfect for outdoor activity holidays.
There are lots of opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling, watersports, fishing, etc.
Fort William is at the end of Scotland's most famous long distance hiking trail - The West Highland Way - and also The Great Glen Way which runs along the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness.

Fort William has a regular bus service with Oban (90 minutes) and Inverness (2 hours).

There are also daily trains coming up from Glasgow to Fort William on the spectacular West Highland Line which continues as far as Mallaig at the end of the Road to the Isles. Sleeper trains to Fort William are available from London.

Directions:
Heading north out of Fort William, turn left from the A82 onto the A830 (Road to the Isles). After Corpach, you will see the sign to Tangusdale which is the 10th house on the left. It is only 6-7 minutes drive from Fort William town centre.
